Some of my favorite smells are gasoline, sharpies, rubbing alcohol, basements, musty closets, etc. I would put this scent in that category, but I don't want that to put anyone off. This perfume is beautiful. It is rich, heavy, and incensey. It has an oiliness to it, and if worn in public, I think would give the impression that you work in some kind of auto shop. That said, I think it would be perfect for sweltering summer afternoons in the city.
Whenever I've felt the need to wear fragrance, I have always just worn whatever-- something gifted and generic from some second rate designer brand. Rien was the start of my love affair with fragrance. At the top, it makes its presence known in a love-it-or-hate-it fashion, then dries down to become an unmistakable scent of sex and confidence. Sillage and longevity second to few if any. From now on, no matter the situation, I will feel comfortable wearing "nothing."
Unique scent, well made, competitively priced--EldO does it again! Rien is a weirdo futurist's homage to Chanel; aldehydic floral luxury underpinned by a rubbery naughty leather.
This is a gorgeous perfume! I'm glad I didn't have anything to do the first time I tried it because all I wanted to do after the first smell was lay back to enjoy the ride. This is the best incense type perfume I have ever worn. While the incense keeps a constant tone, there's a play of other, more delicate florals, that rise up and fade out through the story the perfume tells.
I fucking love this
