A great masculine scent, but you must be OK with a very "direct" scent that is also, surprisingly, very non-linear. Little timidity: starts with a bracing, powerful bergamot and citrus (max 30 minutes), and then moves to a very dominant leather note. IMO the leather smells like the equine tack shops from my childhood, and the power of this note is *directly* propertional to how hot it is. After about 2-3 hours, the drydown shifts strongly to spice and the gang: "big-time" clove, "wingman" cinnamon, "little" woody, and a bit of Mr Hennessy. Skin scent by hour 5-6. If, and I mean IF, you can handle the old-school feel, this is a great scent that has decent performance, but is absolutely not "beast mode" like some of the real classics. Amazingly, it is actually office safe. Really could be a daily reach for the right person, especially given that it contrasts so strongly with the current zeitgeist of men's fragrance. Full disclosure: grew on me so much, that I bought a full bottle after sampling most of the large ELDO sample set.
