Oriental freshness is the first hit that I get. It reminds me of walking in the countryside in Japan. Positively beautiful notes of mint, dewy grass, melon, with the faintest fresh earth scent, like after-rain. Very well composed, but far from complex. Develops slightly sweeter than I would prefer, given the mellowness of the mint and the slightly soapy dry-down. It's clearly intended to have that vibe, so I don't view it as a negative. Truly Unisex- as a guy, I was slightly concerned it would wear too feminine- not the case at all. Summertime fragrance, although one could see wearing it in the dead of winter to remember summer days.
I usually love to let a scent exist on its own to highlight the fullness of its composition. This scent is totally wonderful and can easily exist on its own. In this instance though, I feel it is an ideal scent to layer as well, particularly to tone down a winter scent. I explored a few different combinations and found that this mixed with TF Tuscan Leather is TO DIE FOR. it elevates the undercurrents of rose in TL and sharpens the "green earth" scent in the ELDO. An absolutely gorgeous combo that creates a seaside potpourri vibe that is forward with strong sillage, great body, and understated complexity.
