What's in a Name, Vol. 5: THE GHOST IN THE SHELL

The Ghost in the Shell
Translation:
From the Bottom of the Matter. Rise Up.

Inspiration:
The Ghost In The Shell is a celebration of transhumanism through scent, sound, and texture. An olfactory vision of humanity enhanced by a machine, translated through the audacity of Etat Libre d’Orange, biotechnology of MANE Laboratories, and Japanese visual artist Shiro Masamune.

Revelation:
The race to merge nature with artificial intelligence has been one of the most prevalent topics of discussion across the globe, yet the question still stands: what will it be like? We’ve decided to take a leap into the future, blend nature with biotech materials, and discover what transhumanism will smell like. Are you ready to find out?

As the molecules rally to make living, breathing art inside the bottle, the outside of the bottle is coated with a pink skin-like texture. From there, a fusion of liquid scented Aqual™ and Yuzu starts to shape a metallic skeleton covered by velvety human flesh. A vibrant note of peach intertwines with Hexyl Acetate, a mysterious ingredient derived from biotechnology, translating an aroma of a melting green pear. The heart starts beating with a molecular cocktail of Mugane™ and jasmine. Finally, the hybrid base is animated by the carnal character of amber woods and cool mineral facets of moss. The perfume comes to life as a propagation that makes you the axis of evolution, a point where nature meets technology, where skin blends with the fragrance and a new life rises from the bottom of the matter. Transhumanism has finally arrived, a new life, a new world, a perfume from the future - The Ghost In The Shell.
